WHAT DO YOU WANT TO GIVE TODAY?
You can give by reason, or you can give by revelation. To give by reason is to figure out reasonably what you think you can give, and that doesn’t require any faith at all. GIVE BY FAITH!
IF YOU ARE GIVING BY CASH OR A CHECK, OFFERING ENVELOPES ARE BY THE FRONT DOOR.

Scripture Handout for Sermon
1. Mark 16:17–18 (NIV)
“And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all;
they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
2. Mark 1:21–27 (NIV)
“They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.
The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.
Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out,
‘What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us?
I know who you are—the Holy One of God!’
‘Be quiet!’ said Jesus sternly. ‘Come out of him!’
The impure spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.
The people were all so amazed that they asked each other,
‘What is this? A new teaching—and with authority!
He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him!’”
3. Acts 2:1–4 (NIV)
“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”
4. Acts 10:44–46 (NIV)
“While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message.
The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles.
For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.”
5. Acts 19:5–6 (NIV)
“On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.”
6. Acts 28:3–6 (NIV)
“Paul gathered a pile of brushwood, and as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand.
The islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand and said to each other,
‘This man must be a murderer; for though he escaped from the sea, the goddess Justice has not allowed him to live.’
But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects.
The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead,
but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him,
they changed their minds and said he was a god.”
7. Matthew 10:7–8 (NIV)
“As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons.
Freely you have received; freely give.”
8. Isaiah 35:5–6 (NIV)
“Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
Then will the lame leap like a deer,
and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams in the desert.”
9. Acts 3:1–10 (NIV)
“One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon.
Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful,
where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts.
When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money.
Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, ‘Look at us!’
So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.
Then Peter said,
‘Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you.
In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.’
Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up,
and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.
He jumped to his feet and began to walk.
Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.
When all the people saw him walking and praising God,
they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful,
and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.”
10. Acts 6:8 (NIV)
“Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people.”
11. John 5:19–20 (NIV)
“Jesus gave them this answer:
‘Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself;
he can do only what he sees his Father doing,
because whatever the Father does the Son also does.
For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does.
Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.’”
12. 1 Corinthians 4:20 (NIV)
“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.”
